Francesca Bonollo was born in Mestre in 1983. She attended the state art high school in Venice and graduated in interior architecture from the IED in Rome in 2006.
She began her career in Vicenza as an interior designer for Febal kitchens, later working in Padova and Treviso for various architectural firms specializing in luxury villas. At the age of 26, encouraged by a gallerist friend, she returned to painting and held her first solo exhibition in Mestre; she has never stopped painting since.

Francesca’s style is difficult to define, she is a contemporary conceptual artist, one might even call her "Pop" or "naïve" whose work is underpinned by extensive research in content and materials. She frequently depicts jellyfish which represent the origins of life and immortality to her while reflecting on the animal and plant worlds and their connections to humanity.

Francesca employs a wide range of techniques including watercolor, acrylic, and collage often blending them together. Her preferred materials include resin, hot glue, and objects discovered in abandoned cellars.
While her works share a common thread and are instantly recognizable, each piece is distinct and unique.
